From the very beginning we have put emphasis on everything involved with Jamesco being authentic. Everything you see from our lifestyle photos, videos and shooting locations are real, there’s no set with strangers in unfamiliar places, just our mates having a good time at real locations that don’t pack up at the end of the day. All of the design work for our shirts and accessories are done in Gippsland and SEQ with our garment makers/screen printing here in AUS and abroad for small batches and timeless garments that last.

For our denim and flannel shirt range we have a small number of staple shirts on hand including the Blackwood and Freestone denim, whilst bringing in selected new styles seasonally. we do limited runs with our garment maker of 4 years with quality at the forefront every time. our tees are all screen printed in Currumbin, QLD in small batches on premium heavy weight tees with a vintage look and feel.

Our custom guitar straps are made from scratch out of our old stomping grounds at Yeti Savage’s private workshop in South Gippsland, Victoria. Every guitar strap has the customers input and direct contact with Yeti himself, with everything hand carved to then his antiquing process. These custom guitar straps have ended up in the hands of musicians from both Australia and overseas, with some pretty special collabs overall.

Yeti also spends a lot of time building high end guitars and the like from this very workshop with some unbelievable sort after woods, he’s quite the craftsman and lives and breathes all aspects of it, to get in touch simply jump over to our custom leather shop.

We are also involved with Australian non for profit organizations, in the works at the moment are both here and overseas with amazing organizations based around one of our favourite things on this planet…. music, of course. check back for more!

OUR STORY

Back in 2013, three Australians took off on a Road trip through America’s west landing in LA with their guitars, BMX’s, surf boards, a taste for adventure and a party. the first two weeks were spent predominantly in LA and San Diego with our mate and host John Buultjens (Haro bikes) and his partner Martha.

After two weeks of mostly running a muck, riding, X Games after parties (hang overs) and surfing the famous cali coastline we thought it was time to venture into the desert for a few weeks, we started with Vegas. Vegas was 40 plus degrees that week, and without going into the finer details we did a typical Vegas, or perhaps more accurate a fear and loathing in Las Vegas.

Vegas saw the rear vision mirror soon afterwards and from there we headed out of town to visit Utah, Arizona and Northern Cali, we needed a break and some good old nature, and these places sure did have it. This trip went for a few more weeks with lots of music, dodgy desert shit, hiking the mountains and the odd chat about this thing called Jamesco.

After that trip and many late at night conversations Jamesco, as we had come to call it was born. The following couple of years was spent predominantly in the misty old hills back in Gippsland, Victoria, where we worked from our country property just out of a small town named Foster while our brother, musician and craftsman Yeti Savage had a old workshop further east of there in the bush. We spent countless freezing nights between the two locations conjuring ideas for Jamesco while listening to our favourite Blues or old thrash metal straight out of a 90’s Crusty Demon classic.

From there we created our first line of Australian hand made leather goods particularly with custom guitar straps, along with a clothing line. Fast forward to now, a goal from the early days and now our main focus is producing high quality shirts and locally printed garments, keeping to our country spirit with denim and flannel, whilst also still hand making guitar straps for musicians and the like here and abroad.
